The Leighton Hall Estate

Leighton Hall is situated within and forms 10% of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The estate comprises of approximately 450 acres of mixed deciduous woodland and 1200 acres of productive farmland for Beef & Sheep.

Commercial activities such as property rental, clay pigeon shooting, paintballing, pheasant shooting and a 4X4 driving track helps to diversify and produce income.

Conservation
As well as the garden conservation and pollinator projects, the Estate is involved with various other conservation schemes including deer and forestry management, coppicing, the re-introduction of Red Squirrels and butterfly conservation.
Rural Skills
We actively promote and practice traditional rural skills such as drystone walling, coppicing and hedge laying which all contribute to the beauty of the landscape and the rural economy.
Landowner Responsibilities
Public footpaths are well maintained and signposted, and there is plenty of public access across the estate from which a wide variety of wildlife and wildflowers can be seen throughout the year
