Education & Adult Learning

For over 25 years the team have encouraged all social economic groups, business employees and primary school children to engage with and be inspired from the historical factors and the natural surroundings; Affectionately known as 'Learning at Leighton'. Our two unique spaces along with the hall and grounds offer a unique balance between traditional classroom learning and health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Adult Learning

We have historically offered adult learning events, from evening lectures to workshops and courses. With the renovation of the studio and the conservatory, the Leighton Hall team now have the exciting opportunity to expand this programme and offering.

Primary School Visits

Early Learning, Foundation, KS1 & KS2

Leighton Hall has welcomed primary school groups for over 25 years. Our indoor and outdoor packages provide everything teachers need for a relaxing, safe, and entertaining educational day out for their pupils.

All visits are cross curriculum linked and all our learning programmes are led by qualified and experienced Leighton Hall staff or Larksfoot practitioners.

Larksfoot Preschool

The Hazel Tree Retreat with Yurt

The Leighton Hall team work in conjunction with Larksfoot Woodland Childcare, which is in the Hazel Tree Retreat at the Hall.

Larksfoot CIC run and manage this Ofsted registered and regulated Pre-School.

Learning Facilities - The Studio

Leighton Hall has developed an educational hub known as “The Studio”. It comprises of a classroom, with IT, Wi-Fi facilities, a kitchen and has access to the garden loos, gazebo shelter and a woodland-based log circle.

Learning Facilities - The Conservatory

The Victorian Conservatory is newly restored with help from the cultural recovery fund. It is a stunning, fresh, peaceful building with its own kitchen, toilets and cloakroom. IT, Wi-Fi facilities, a projection screen and the ability to change the layout of the furniture means it’s a versatile space depending on your needs. There is access to outdoor area for other activities i.e. the lawn, the garden and the woodland-based log circle.
