Famed for its Lakeland backdrop, sweeping gardens, and historic Hall tours, family visitors have long loved summer visits to Carnforth’s Leighton Hall.
This December, Leighton’s doors are being opened to the general public - and for one night only.
A festive evening Candlelight Tour showcases Leighton’s unique historic charms at this special time of year. Revealed in the flickering light, revel in the atmospheric hall, dressed for a traditional Christmas, and steeped in history and mystery.
As soon as you’re welcomed through the doors, you’re one of the family, invited to relax in seasonal splendour. Cast off coats and scarfs- even wet wellies, and pad around in your socks if you like! Children are welcome too.
Guided by the lady of the house, Mrs Suzie Reynolds and her team, they’ll share the enchanting history, stories and secrets of the famous Gillow furniture making family. The evening culminates in the magnificent music room with mulled wine and mince pies before a roaring open fire.
